About Meridian Eyewear Co.
Meridian started in a Portland workshop with a simple irritation: eyewear was either luxury-priced or landfill-grade, with very little in between. We design frames that sit in the middle on price and refuse to compromise on the two things that actually matter — the lenses and the hinges.
Our three commitments
- Honest lenses. Every lens we sell blocks 100% of UVA/UVB. Our blue-light filters state exactly what band they cut and by how much. No vague "HD polarized superlens" marketing — the spec sheet is the sales pitch. See our Lens & Coatings Guide for how it all works.
- Frames built to be serviced. Screws, spring hinges, and nose pads on our frames are standard parts any optical shop can replace. A frame you can't repair is a frame designed to be thrown away.
- Real fit help. Our support team includes licensed opticians who answer sizing and adjustment questions by email — measurements first, style opinions on request. Start with the Frame Size & Fit Guide.
What we make
Sunglasses, prescription-ready optical frames, blue-light glasses, readers in four strengths, sport and snow eyewear, kids' frames that survive childhood, and the cases and care products that keep all of it alive. Every frame carries a one-year warranty, and every kids' frame includes a one-time free breakage replacement.
Ready-to-wear only, for now: we don't glaze prescriptions in-house, but every optical frame ships with demo lenses that any optician can swap for your Rx.
