Last updated: June 2026. This policy explains what Meridian Eyewear Co. ("Meridian", "we") collects when you use this store, why we collect it, and the control you have over it. The plain-English summary: we collect what's needed to sell you eyewear and support it afterward, we don't sell your data, and you can ask for a copy or deletion of your information at any time.
What we collect
- Order information: name, shipping and billing addresses, email, phone number, and the items you purchase.
- Payment information: processed entirely by our payment providers. Card numbers never touch our servers; we retain only the last four digits and card brand for order-service purposes.
- Support correspondence: emails you send us, including fit measurements you volunteer for sizing help.
- Site analytics: anonymized browsing data (pages viewed, device type, approximate region) used to improve the store. We honor Global Privacy Control signals.
How we use it
To fulfill and deliver orders, provide warranty and support service, send transactional email (order confirmations, shipping updates), and — only if you opt in — a marketing newsletter you can leave with one click. Fit measurements shared with our opticians are used solely to answer your question and are never added to marketing profiles.
What we never do
- Sell or rent your personal information to anyone
- Share your data with third parties beyond the processors required to run the store (payments, shipping, email delivery), each bound by their own data-protection obligations
- Send marketing email without explicit opt-in
Data retention and your rights
Order records are retained for seven years for tax and warranty purposes; support emails for two years; analytics data for 14 months. You may request a copy of your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of everything not legally required to be retained, by emailing hello@meridianeyewear.example with the subject "Privacy request". We respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use strictly-necessary cookies for cart and checkout function, and optional analytics cookies governed by the consent banner on your first visit. Declining optional cookies does not change any store functionality.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be announced on this page and, for account holders, by email at least 14 days before taking effect.
