Blue light glasses get marketed as a miracle and dismissed as a placebo. The truth is narrower and more useful than either take.
What blue light is
Screens emit a disproportionate amount of high-energy visible light in the 400–455 nm band. It isn't dangerous at screen intensities, but two effects are well documented: it contributes to evening alertness that can delay sleep, and long uninterrupted screen sessions cause the dryness and fatigue lumped together as digital eye strain.
What filtering helps with — honestly
